Mango Arcade
Privacy Policy
The short version
Mango Arcade does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email, or location. Your game progress and settings are stored on your own device. The app is supported by advertising; to show and measure ads, our ad provider (Google AdMob) may process limited device data. Because the app is suitable for children, any ads shown are non-personalized (contextual only) and served in line with the Google Play Families Policy, the Google AdMob policies, and COPPA.
Information collected
By us (the developer) directly: none. There are no accounts, no logins, and we do not gather personal details, and we do not run any servers that receive your data.
By our advertising provider (Google): to serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process limited technical data (an advertising identifier, IP-derived approximate signals, and ad-interaction/app-usage data). For our audience this is used only to show non-personalized (contextual) ads and to measure and prevent ad fraud — not to build advertising profiles of children. The exact categories are listed under "Advertising" below and match our Google Play Data safety declaration.
Information stored on your device
Stored only in local app storage on your device (never uploaded to the developer):
- game progress, scores, streaks, stars and unlocked levels;
- settings (sound, haptics, theme) and cosmetics bought with the in-game "Seeds" currency, which is earned by playing and has no real-money value.
This data is removed when you uninstall the app. If your device's "Back up to Google Drive" setting is on, Android's system Auto Backup may include this local app data in your own Google account backup, which the developer cannot access.
Third-party services
Mango Arcade relies on a small number of Google services to run ads, gather consent, and process the optional purchase. Each operates under Google's own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK — serves and measures the ads that support the app. See support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 and policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — shows the consent prompt required in the EEA/UK before any non-essential data is used for ads.
- Google Play Billing — processes the optional one-time "Remove ads" purchase. We never receive or store your payment details.
- Google Play services — standard platform components the ad and billing SDKs depend on.
We do not use any other advertising networks, analytics or tracking providers, or ad mediation.
Advertising
The app is supported by ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC) — no other ad network is used. To deliver, frequency-cap, and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process limited device-level data, which may include:
- a device advertising identifier (Advertising ID);
- your IP address and the coarse/approximate (roughly city-level) location derived from it;
- ad-interaction and in-app activity needed to serve, cap and measure ads;
- general device information (model, OS version, language) and diagnostics.
Because Mango Arcade is directed to a general audience that includes children:
- the app enables Google's child-directed treatment and requests a maximum ad content rating of "G" (General audiences), so only non-personalized, family-appropriate ads are served. We do not permit interest-based (personalized) advertising, remarketing, or advertising profiles of children.
- only ad SDKs that are self-certified for the Google Play Families Policy are used.
- some ads are optional "rewarded" videos that you choose to watch in exchange for in-game Seeds; they are never forced, and (like all our ads) they are non-personalized.
Consent (EEA / UK). Where GDPR/ePrivacy applies, a Google-provided consent prompt (Google's User Messaging Platform) is shown before any non-essential data is used for ads, and you can change your choice later (see "How to control your ads and data"). Google's handling of data for ads is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and policies.google.com/privacy
Permissions we request
- Internet / network access — required to load ads.
- Notifications — optional reminders about your daily play streak.
- Vibration — for in-game haptic feedback.
We request no location, contacts, camera, microphone, or file-storage permissions.
Children's privacy (Families)
Mango Arcade is suitable for, and directed to, a general audience that includes children. We comply with the Google Play Families Policy, the Google AdMob families / child-directed requirements, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the GDPR "children" provisions (GDPR-K) where they apply.
- The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
- Ads shown to children are non-personalized and served only by Families-self-certified ad SDKs, with child-directed treatment enabled and content limited to a "G" rating.
- The only in-app purchase is an optional one-time "Remove ads" unlock, processed entirely by Google Play — we never see or store your payment details. There are no social features and no external web links inside the app.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data sharing and selling
The developer does not sell your data and does not share it for cross-app advertising. Limited device data is processed by Google solely to serve and measure the app's ads, as described above and in Google's policies. We do not share data with any other third parties.
Data retention
The developer keeps no personal data. Game data lives on your device until you delete it. Ad-related data processed by Google is retained and deleted according to Google's own retention policies.
Data security
No developer-controlled servers store your data. Local game data is protected by Android's app sandbox; ad and purchase data are handled by Google under its own security and privacy programs.
How to control your ads and data
- Opt out of ad personalization / reset your Advertising ID: in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by device). Resetting the Advertising ID clears the old one.
- Change your consent choice (EEA/UK): update your choice from your device's Google ad settings, or reinstall the app to see the consent prompt again.
- Remove ads entirely: buy the optional one-time "Remove ads" unlock in the app — banner and full-screen ads are removed (optional rewarded videos remain available only if you choose to watch one).
- Delete your data: clear the app's storage or uninstall — all locally-stored game data is removed.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and republish at the same URL.
